Fireside Friday ~ The Magick of What Matters

Tonight, the fire is gentle and wise.

I’m watching a grown man play Barbies with our youngest; voices changing, stories unfolding, laughter floating through the room, and I am reminded of an old, quiet truth: this is what life is all about.

Not the chaos of the day. Not the conversations that pulled at your nerves. Not the thoughts that tried to drag you into fixing, proving, or bracing.

Just this! Presence and attention. Love choosing to show up in ordinary (and stained from the day) clothes.

Letting go tonight doesn’t mean bypassing what was hard. It means setting the day’s drama down at the door. Letting the fire soften what the world tightened.

The heart knows how to do this.

So do children.

So does love when it feels safe enough to play.

If you listen closely, you might feel it, that small inner click as your shoulders drop and your Spirit remembers it was never meant to carry everything.

So, what small, ordinary moment is casting the strongest magick in your life right now?

May you remember, you are allowed to play, too.

Allowed to laugh without earning it.

Allowed to be silly without explanation.

Allowed to kneel on the floor of your own life and let joy make up the rules.

May the part of you that learned to be responsible, rest tonight.

And may the part that still knows how to imagine, be warmly welcomed back home.
